Ghost Hunters

Is an American paranormal reality television series on Syfy. It premiered on October 6, 2004, on Syfy (previously the SciFi Channel) and ran to October 26, 2016.  The program features paranormal investigators Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, who investigates places that are reported to be haunted. The two were originally Roto-Rooter plumbers by day, and did their paranormal investigating at night and on the weekends.
Jason and Grant, along with other team members, founded The Atlantic Paranormal Society(TAPS).
When investigating a location, TAPS team members first visit and survey the property with its owners, who describe their experiences at the site. Next the team sets up all of their equipment in the ‘hot spots’ of the site. Then the TAPS team spends hours investigating the site, taking electromagnetic field and termperature readings, recording audio for EVPS, and filming with digital video cameras. Often the team will use provoking as a method to try and coax ghosts to talk to them or make an appearance.
Once an investigation is over, the TAPS team will spend several days analyzing all of the data for for evidence of possible paranormal activity. Once finished, Jason and Grant return to the location to reveal their findings to the site owners and to answer any questions they might have.
